E TuTūtū means "stand up, assemble". This was something the Gisborne East Coast Cancer Society asked of those very special men who feature in our 2017 calendar. Taking these men out of their comfort zones by asking them to wearing yellow tutus they came together to stand up in support for all cancers patients across Te Tairawhiti and to raise funds for the Cancer Society. For some of the men their family and friends had been affected by cancer for others they chose to stand up in support of the work the Cancer Society does for cancer patients and their whanau.
Proceeds from calendar sales will support the Cancer Society's activities of Research, Support Services, Community Health Education and Promotion, Counselling, Advocacy, Patient Transport, Breast Prosthetic Service, Lymphedema Massage, Information Brochures/Pamphlets, Support Groups and a range of other services all offered free of charge to patients and their whanau across Te Tairawhiti.
The Gisborne East Coast Cancer Society isn't Government funded and is reliant upon donations, grants and public fundraising to support its deliverables.
Your support in purchasing our 2017 Calendar is very much appreciated and will greatly assist our work across Te Tairawhiti.
